What is the edgeLever snowboard binding?

The Mission: Ride the edgeLever binding for a scheduled week (3-6 days on mountain) this winter.

Rider Criteria:

Your location - You live at (or very near to) a ski area with some varied terrain (US and Canada only at this time).
Schedule - During one pre-scheduled winter week, you can commit to riding 3-6 days
Level - You are an intermediate rider, or above.
Style - You aspire to improve your carving and also like riding different areas of the mountain, not only terrain parks.
Stance - You are open to trying/using various stances (both duck and directional). Directional meaning both feet are at positive angles.
Safety - You know the importance of wearing a helmet while riding.
Feedback - You are willing to provide feedback to the edgeLever team daily by vlogging things like weather, snow conditions, stance and set up, and most importantly, how the ride felt (including how it differed from a traditional soft boot binding).

If you want to post about your experience so your friends know what you doing, no problem, sounds great. However, at this time, we are testing the equipment, not trying to promote it. Therefore, if you are an influencer with 1000+ followers, you agree to not to post anything about your experience. That day will come in the future.

FAQs

Is the edgeLever binding safe?

Hell no. Snowboarding is a dangerous sport. The edgeLever binding is several times stronger than traditional snowboard bindings because it is made of aluminum, but it doesn't mitigate the risks of snowboarding. The risk profile of the edgeLever binding is the same as the risk profile for traditional softboot bindings.

Why would I be testing for a week, and not just a couple of runs?

Depending upon how it is set up, the edgeLever binding can have a very unique riding feel. It can be much more responsive and powerful than a traditional soft boot binding, and it accomplishes this with less effort than a traditional binding. Therefore, it takes at least a half day to relax your body and allow the binding to do the work. Within a few days of riding, our hope is that you will never want to ride another binding.

How will I know how to set up the edgeLever binding?

It is pretty straightforward, but the edgeLever team will assist with this either in-person or through an intro-video and phone discussions.

Is the edgeLever binding strong/durable?

Yes. Very strong. Most of the parts are machined out of aluminum unless they are stock parts from the big name snowboard companies.
